The Dyste Design Process

... so you'll love to come home!

My primary objective is to learn how you want to feel as you live in the spaces we create.  Do you want to feel safe, nurtured, inspired, vivacious, serene, elegant, techno-savvy or cutting edge?  What uniquely represents you?  Some spaces may be private retreats and others gregariously public-oriented.  Can the best design for you be achieved with striking simplicity or an eclectic assemblage of artifacts from your life?  Do you respond to sensuous textures or sleek, smooth surfaces?  And if you’re not sure, you’ll be given homework so your design desires can be refined.  That’s the beginning of my job.  This applies to new construction, decorative updating and everything in between.
- Deborah Dyste

Deborah’s knowledge of the history of western art, architecture and decorative arts is uniquely braided with her training in eastern arts.  This East/West appreciation infuses her client’s homes with subtle harmony.
